A sewer explosion tore through an 80-meter road section in downtown Beihai of south China’s Guangxi Zhuang region on Wednesday, resulting in zero casualties.
The underground sewer tunnel contains natural gas pipelines and high-voltage cables. Initial data showed that waste pipelines and a cable junction in the sewer were destroyed. The natural gas pipelines remain undamaged, although the local gas company shut down the gas supply in the areas around the accident site.
