An amateur cameraman, who was in the stands during the meeting aviation Reno (Nevada), which was held Saturday, surprised when the plane crashed over the support, making 11 dead and dozens wounded.
Recording captures the last movements of the aircraft acrobatics, a machine during the Second World War, before it sinks like a cannonball in the first rows of seats in the stands.
The tragedy could be much higher if the plane whose pilot realized that he would fall, had fallen in the middle of the stands.
Plane problems caused a World War-II fighter plane P-51 Mustang “Galloping Ghost” piloted by Jimmy Leeward to plunge into grandstands Friday afternoon. The plane accident has left 3 dead and more than 50 injured, 15 in critical condition and 13 serious condition. The pilot, Jimmy Leeward was a 74-year-old veteran stunt pilot who has flown in over 120 races and served as a stunt pilot in many movies including ‘Amelia’ and ‘Cloud Dancer’.
